PEDAGOGICAL COACHING WORKSHOP INFORMATION
OVERVIEW
The Pedagogical Coaching program will enable participants to build their knowledge and skills in coaching so they can review, reflect, and plan for sustained improved in teacher capability and student learning. Coaching skills will be developed through the essential elements of coaching (affiliative, instructional, and didactic), feedback, emotional Intelligence, and professional conversations.
This program will build on existing teaching, leadership, and coaching skills through the Principles of Coaching – INTENT Granular Teaching Goals / technique, LEARN Plan, Practice, Follow Up (See it, Name it Do It Model) and FEEDBACK Praise, Probe and Plan.
Throughout the workshop participants will analyse teaching / pedagogy, unpack evidenced based practices, complete coaching practice and review case study scenarios. This will embed the knowledge and skills learnt through the program.
OBJECTIVES
Participants, on completing this program, will:

Be able to apply their new coaching skills to everyday conversations and in formal coaching situations.

Be able to coach participants through conversations in effective pedagogy aligned to key techniques through a deeper understanding of how to improve capability.

Have analysed their coaching approach through reflection and feedback to enable the necessary changes to achieve great outcomes in a culture of sustained improvement.

Have reviewed, reflected, and planned for sustained leadership through coaching.
